A person required to make and file a return under this article shall pay any tax shown to be due by such return, without assessment, notice or demand, to the Tax Commissioner on or before the date fixed for filing such return determined without regard to any extension of time for filing the return. The Tax Commissioner shall prescribe by regulation the place for filing any return, statement or other document required to be filed by this article and for the payment of any tax.

Terms Used In West Virginia Code 11-24-14

  • Commissioner: means the State Tax Commissioner. See West Virginia Code 11-22-1
  • Document: means any deed, or instrument or writing by which any real property within this state or any interest in real property is granted, conveyed or otherwise transferred to the grantee, purchaser or any other person. See West Virginia Code 11-22-1
  • person: means any individual, firm, partnership, general partner of a partnership, limited liability company, registered limited liability partnership, foreign limited liability partnership, association, corporation whether or not the corporation is, or would be if doing business in this state, subject to the tax imposed by this article, company, syndicate, estate, trust, business trust, trustee, trustee in bankruptcy, receiver, executor, administrator, assignee or organization of any kind.   • tax: includes , within its meaning, interest and additions to tax, unless the intention to give it a more limited meaning is disclosed by the context. See West Virginia Code 11-24-3a
  • Tax Commissioner: means the Tax Commissioner of the State of West Virginia or his or her delegate. See West Virginia Code 11-24-3a
