Upon dissolution of the corporation known as the "West Virginia State Farm Museum" and the transfer of the corporation's assets to the State of West Virginia, the commissioner of agriculture shall administer the museum and the assets. The West Virginia State Farm Museum shall be located at Point Pleasant in the county of Mason.

Terms Used In West Virginia Code 19-27-1a

  • Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • State: when applied to a part of the United States and not restricted by the context, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" also include the said district and territories. See West Virginia Code 2-2-10

The commissioner of agriculture may propose rules for legislative approval in accordance with the provisions of chapter twenty-nine-a of this code to carry out the provisions of this section.
