Terms Used In West Virginia Code > Chapter 15A > Article 4A - Expanded Work Release Pilot Program
- Commissioner: means the commissioner of the Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation. See West Virginia Code 15A-4A-2
- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- Division: means the Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation. See West Virginia Code 15A-4A-2
- Offender: means a person sentenced to the custody of the Commissioner for service of a sentence of incarceration due to conviction of a felony or felonies. See West Virginia Code 15A-4A-2
- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
- State: when applied to a part of the United States and not restricted by the context, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" also include the said district and territories. See West Virginia Code 2-2-10
