Terms Used In West Virginia Code > Chapter 18 > Article 10L - Ron Yost Personal Assistance Services Act

  • board: means a county board of education. See West Virginia Code 18-1-1
  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • in writing: includes any representation of words, letters, or figures, whether by printing, engraving, writing, or otherwise. See West Virginia Code 2-2-10
  • Personal assistance services: means :

    (A) Those basic and ancillary services that enable eligible individuals to live in their homes and communities rather than in institutions and to carry out functions of daily living, self-care and mobility. See West Virginia Code 18-10L-3

  • Personal assistant: means an individual of the consumer'. See West Virginia Code 18-10L-3
  • Recipient: means any individual receiving funds through the Ron Yost personal assistance program. See West Virginia Code 18-10L-3
  • Ron Yost personal assistance program functional assessment tool: means the written and physical evaluation used to determine eligibility of individuals to receive services and the hours of service to be provided under this article. See West Virginia Code 18-10L-3
  • State: when applied to a part of the United States and not restricted by the context, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" also include the said district and territories. See West Virginia Code 2-2-10
