Terms Used In West Virginia Code > Chapter 19 > Article 32 - Aquaculture Development
- Aquaculture: means the propagation, rearing, and/or use of aquatic species in controlled or selected environments for private and or commercial purposes related to food production, recreation, research, importation, exportation, marketing, transportation and science. See West Virginia Code 19-32-3
- Aquatic species: means any species of finfish, mollusk, crustacean, or other aquatic invertebrate, amphibian, reptile, or aquatic plant, and including, but not limited to, "fish" and "fishes" as defined in this chapter. See West Virginia Code 19-32-3
- Commissioner: means the Commissioner of Agriculture. See West Virginia Code 19-32-3
- Department: means the West Virginia Department of Agriculture. See West Virginia Code 19-32-3
- State: when applied to a part of the United States and not restricted by the context, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" also include the said district and territories. See West Virginia Code 2-2-10
