Terms Used In Wisconsin Statutes 113.01
- Person: includes all partnerships, associations and bodies politic or corporate. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
- Tort: A civil wrong or breach of a duty to another person, as outlined by law. A very common tort is negligent operation of a motor vehicle that results in property damage and personal injury in an automobile accident.
(1) “Obligation” includes a liability in tort.
(2) “Obligee” includes a person having a right based on a tort.
(3) “Obligor” includes a person liable for a tort.
(4) “Several obligors” means obligors severally bound for the same performance.
