Terms Used In Wisconsin Statutes 19.90
- Governmental body: means a state or local agency, board, commission, committee, council, department or public body corporate and politic created by constitution, statute, ordinance, rule or order; a governmental or quasi-governmental corporation except for the Bradley center sports and entertainment corporation; a local exposition district under subch. See Wisconsin Statutes 19.82
- Meeting: means the convening of members of a governmental body for the purpose of exercising the responsibilities, authority, power or duties delegated to or vested in the body. See Wisconsin Statutes 19.82
- Open session: means a meeting which is held in a place reasonably accessible to members of the public and open to all citizens at all times. See Wisconsin Statutes 19.82
- Person: includes all partnerships, associations and bodies politic or corporate. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
Whenever a governmental body holds a meeting in open session, the body shall make a reasonable effort to accommodate any person desiring to record, film or photograph the meeting. This section does not permit recording, filming or photographing such a meeting in a manner that interferes with the conduct of the meeting or the rights of the participants.
