Terms Used In Wisconsin Statutes 198.21
- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- district: means a municipal power district organized under this chapter, either as originally organized or as the same may be from time to time altered or amended. See Wisconsin Statutes 198.01
- Property: includes real and personal property. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
Any provision of this chapter may be altered, amended or repealed at any time by the legislature, but no amendment, repeal or alteration shall ever be enacted which shall release any district from any liability which it shall incur for the acquisition of property or for obtaining funds for the purposes of the district. The guarantees of this section shall be a part of every contract authorized by this chapter and entered into by any district under this chapter.
