- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
The board of directors shall require the sponsor of an event held at a sports and entertainment arena to impose a $2 surcharge on each ticket that is sold to the event. The event sponsor shall forward to the board of directors any surcharges collected under this section. The board of directors shall submit 25 percent of the amount received under this section to the department of administration for deposit into the general fund and shall retain the remainder for the district.
