A village may contract for the acquisition of any element of the following without submitting the contract for bids as required under s. 61.54 if the village invites developers to submit proposals to provide a completed project and evaluates proposals according to site, cost, design and the developers’ experience in other similar projects:
Terms Used In Wisconsin Statutes 61.57
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Following: when used by way of reference to any statute section, means the section next following that in which the reference is made. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
- Village: means incorporated village. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
(1) A recycling or resource recovery facility.
(2) If the village contains an electronics and information technology manufacturing zone that is designated under s. 238.396 (1m):
(a) Water and sewer systems.
(b) Wastewater treatment facilities.
