Terms Used In Wisconsin Statutes 68.125

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Municipality: includes cities and villages; it may be construed to include towns. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01

If in an administrative appeal under s. 68.10 the municipal authority’s order is overturned or the municipal authority withdraws the order that was the subject of the appeal, the municipality and municipal authority shall refund any fee paid to it by the appellant as a condition of filing the appeal.
