(1) Definition. In this section, “meat processing facility” means a plant or premises where animals are slaughtered for human consumption, or where meat or meat products are processed, but does not include rendering plants.
(2) Grants. The department may award grants from the appropriation under s. 20.115 (4) (f) to meat processing facilities for the purpose of promoting the growth of the meat industry in this state.
