Wisconsin Statutes 940.06 – Second-degree reckless homicide

Under the Wisconsin Statutes, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:

Class	Prison	Fine
Class D felony	up to 25 years	up to $100,000

(1) Whoever recklessly causes the death of another human being is guilty of a Class D felony.

(2) Whoever recklessly causes the death of an unborn child is guilty of a Class D felony.
