Wisconsin Statutes 948.20 – Abandonment of a child

Under the Wisconsin Statutes, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:

Class	Prison	Fine
Class G felony	up to 10 years	up to $25,000

Whoever, with intent to abandon the child, leaves any child in a place where the child may suffer because of neglect is guilty of a Class G felony.
