(a) For an applicant to be eligible for a grant under Alaska Stat. § 14.43.40014.43.420, the applicant must be

Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 14.43.415

  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
(1) a resident of this state;
(2) enrolled or about to be enrolled

(A) at an institution located in the state that is

(i) accredited by an institutional accrediting body recognized by the United States Secretary of Education; or
(ii) approved to participate in the Alaska performance scholarship program as a qualified postsecondary institution under Alaska Stat. § 14.43.830; and
(B) on at least a half-time basis; and
(3) able to demonstrate financial need in accordance with standards for determining financial need established by the commission.

(c) The commission shall adopt regulations to establish terms and conditions for awarding grants under Alaska Stat. § 14.43.40014.43.420 and to establish the amounts to be awarded for on-time, full-time, and half-time student status.
