(a) An appointed member of the board is entitled to compensation at a rate of $400 for each day the member is engaged in the actual performance of duties as a member of the board. The board may provide by rule for compensation for partial days during which an appointed member is engaged in actual performance of duties as a member of the board.

Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 42.40.050

  • board: means the board of directors of the Alaska Railroad Corporation. See Alaska Statutes 42.40.980
  • rule: means a standard of general application or the amendment, supplement, revision, or repeal of a standard adopted by the corporation to implement, interpret, or make specific the law enforced or administered by it or to govern its procedure. See Alaska Statutes 42.40.980
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
(b) In addition to compensation under (a) of this section, an appointed member of the board is entitled to per diem and travel expenses authorized by law for state boards and commissions.
