A. A health care institution may not charge an intake, consultation, facility or other fee to a patient as part of a medical or forensic interview or examination for which the county is required to pay pursuant to section 13-1414.
Terms Used In Arizona Laws 36-420.02
- Health care institution: means every place, institution, building or agency, whether organized for profit or not, that provides facilities with medical services, nursing services, behavioral health services, health screening services, other health-related services, supervisory care services, personal care services or directed care services and includes home health agencies as defined in section 36-151, outdoor behavioral health care programs and hospice service agencies. B. A health care institution or health care provider may not issue, either directly or through its billing company, any additional balance bill to a patient relating to a medical or forensic interview or examination for which the county is required to pay pursuant to section 13-1414.
