Where the statutes limit the number of members of a board or commission who can be members of the same political party, the governor shall not appoint as a member of any such board or commission any person who does not have a continuous recorded registration pursuant to Title 16, Chapter 1, with the same political party or as an independent for at least two years immediately preceding appointment.
Terms Used In Arizona Laws 38-212
- commission: means any office, board or commission of the state, or any political subdivision thereof, the salary or compensation of the incumbent or members of which is paid from a fund raised by taxation or by public revenue. See Arizona Laws 38-101
- Person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association or society, as well as a natural person. See Arizona Laws 1-215
