Upon written application and receipt of the required application fee the board may issue a license to any applicant who possesses a valid unrevoked license or certificate as a psychiatric technician issued by any other state or a foreign country, and who in the opinion of the board has the qualifications set forth in Section 4511.

Terms Used In California Business and Professions Code 4515

  • board: means the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians of the State of California. See California Business and Professions Code 4501
  • license: means license, certificate, registration, or other means to engage in a business or profession regulated by this code or referred to in Section 1000 or 3600. See California Business and Professions Code 23.7
  • psychiatric technician: means any person who, for compensation or personal profit, implements procedures and techniques that involve understanding of cause and effect and that are used in the care, treatment, and rehabilitation of mentally ill or emotionally disturbed persons, or persons with intellectual disabilities, and who has one or more of the following:

  • State: means the State of California, unless applied to the different parts of the United States. See California Business and Professions Code 21
