“Exempt employee” means an employee exempt from civil service pursuant to subdivision (a), (c), (f), or (g) of § 4 of Article VII of the California Constitution, or an exempt employee of the Attorney General or Legislative Counsel appointed pursuant to subdivision (m) of § 4 of Article VII of the California Constitution.
