As used in this chapter:

(a) “Public purchase” means a purchase by means of competitive bids of goods, services, or materials by the state or any of its political subdivisions or public agencies on whose behalf the Attorney General may bring an action pursuant to subdivision (c) of § 16750 of the Business and Professions Code.

Terms Used In California Government Code 4550

  • Public purchase: means a purchase by means of competitive bids of goods, services, or materials by the state or any of its political subdivisions or public agencies on whose behalf the Attorney General may bring an action pursuant to subdivision (c) of §. See California Government Code 4550
  • State: means the State of California, unless applied to the different parts of the United States. See California Government Code 18
  • Subdivision: means a subdivision of the section in which the term occurs unless some other section is expressly mentioned. See California Government Code 10

(b) “Public purchasing body” means the state or the subdivision or agency making a public purchase.
