As used in this chapter, and for the purposes of this chapter as used in the State General Obligation Bond Law, the following words have the following meanings:
(a) “Bond” means a bond, authorized by Sections 8878.20 and 8878.25, that is tax exempt under both state and federal law, or a bond that is tax exempt under state law and taxable under federal law.

- Bond: means a bond, authorized by Sections 8878. See California Government Code 8878.16
- City: includes "city and county" and "incorporated town" but does not include "unincorporated town" or "village. See California Government Code 20
- Committee: means the California Earthquake Safety and Housing Rehabilitation Finance Committee. See California Government Code 8878.16
- County: includes city and county. See California Government Code 19
- Department: means Department of Housing and Community Development. See California Government Code 8878.16
- Fund: means the Housing Rehabilitation Loan Fund established by §. See California Government Code 8878.16
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
- State: means the State of California, unless applied to the different parts of the United States. See California Government Code 18
(b) “Committee” means the California Earthquake Safety and Housing Rehabilitation Finance Committee.
(c) “Department” means Department of Housing and Community Development.
(d) “Fund” means the Housing Rehabilitation Loan Fund established by § 50661 of the Health and Safety Code.
(e) “Local agency” means any city, city and county, or county.
