“District,” as used in this chapter, includes city, county, city and county, or any municipal or public corporation or district which is authorized to acquire, construct, own, or operate a sewer system.

Terms Used In California Health and Safety Code 4951

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • County: includes city and county. See California Health and Safety Code 14
  • District: as used in this chapter , includes city, county, city and county, or any municipal or public corporation or district which is authorized to acquire, construct, own, or operate a sewer system. See California Health and Safety Code 4951
