A person who knowingly falsifies the fingerprints or photographs submitted under subdivision (f) of Section 15010 or paragraph (12) of subdivision (b) of Section 15016 is guilty of a felony. A person who violates any of the other provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500) or by imprisonment in a county jail not to exceed one year, or by both that fine and imprisonment.
