As used in this article:
(a) “Amount secured by the lien” includes interest and any costs and charges secured by the lien.
Terms Used In California Probate Code 10360
- Claim: means a demand for payment for any of the following, whether due, not due, accrued or not accrued, or contingent, and whether liquidated or unliquidated:

- Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
- Lien: means a mortgage, deed of trust, or other lien. See California Probate Code 10360
- Mortgage: The written agreement pledging property to a creditor as collateral for a loan.
- Personal property: All property that is not real property.
- Trust: includes the following:

(b) “Encumbered property” means real or personal property that is subject to a lien for a secured debt which is a valid claim against the estate and which has been allowed or approved.
(c) “Lien” means a mortgage, deed of trust, or other lien.
