(a) The Department of Public Health may, by agreement, transmit copies of vital records required by sections 7-42, 7-45, 7-46, 7-47b, 7-48, 7-50, 7-57, 7-60, 7-62b, 7-62c, 7-64, 7-65 and 19a-41 to 19a-45, inclusive, to offices of vital statistics outside this state when such records relate to residents of those jurisdictions or persons born in those jurisdictions. The agreement shall require that the copies be used for statistical and administrative purposes only and the agreement shall further provide for the retention and disposition of such copies. Copies received by the department from offices of vital statistics in other states shall be handled in the same manner as prescribed in this section.

  • Certificate: includes the whole or part of any Department of Public Health permit which the department is authorized by the general statutes to issue and which further: (A) Authorizes practice of the profession by certified persons but does not prohibit the practice of the profession by others, not certified. (b) The Department of Public Health shall, by agreement, transmit to the United States Department of Health and Human Services information concerning individuals for whom a death certificate has been issued pursuant to section 7-62b. Such agreement may not include any restrictions on the use of the information, except that the agreement may provide that the information may only be used by a federal agency for purposes of ensuring that federal benefits or other payments are not erroneously paid to deceased individuals.
