Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 22a-463

  • Commissioner: means the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection or his designated agent. See Connecticut General Statutes 22a-423
  • person: means any individual, partnership, association, firm, limited liability company, corporation or other entity, except a municipality, and includes the federal government, the state or any instrumentality of the state, and any officer or governing or managing body of any partnership, association, firm or corporation or any member or manager of a limited liability company. See Connecticut General Statutes 22a-423

(a) “Commissioner” means the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection.

(b) “PCB” means the class of organic compounds known as polychlorinated biphenyls or terphenyls and includes any of several compounds produced by replacing two or more hydrogen atoms on the biphenyl or terphenyl molecule with chlorine.

(c) “Incidental amounts of PCB” means amounts of the compound PCB in an item, product or material which are beyond the control of the person manufacturing, selling for use, or using such item, product or material.
