If any provision or application of section 36a-21, sections 36a-485 to 36a-498e, inclusive, or sections 36a-498h, 36a-534a and 36a-534b to any person or circumstance is held invalid by a court of this state, the remainder of said sections or the application of such provision to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected.
Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 36a-498g
- Person: means an individual, company, including a company described in subparagraphs (A) and (B) of subdivision (12) of this section, or any other legal entity, including a federal, state or municipal government or agency or any political subdivision thereof. See Connecticut General Statutes 36a-2
- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
- State: means any state of the United States, the District of Columbia, any territory of the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the trust territory of the Pacific Islands, the Virgin Islands and the Northern Mariana Islands. See Connecticut General Statutes 36a-2
