(1) Licenses shall be renewed biennially in accordance with the rules of the Department.
(a) Biennial renewal fee for physicians licensed pursuant to Sections 458.311, 458.3115, 458.3124, and 458.313, F.S., for physicians holding a limited license; and for physicians holding a medical faculty certificate as a distinguished medical scholar, a temporary certificate for practice in areas of critical need, temporary certificate for active duty military and veterans practicing in areas of critical need, a public psychiatry certificate, or a public health certificate shall be $360.00. However the following exceptions shall apply:
1. If a physician holding an area of critical need license or a limited license submits a notarized statement from the employing Agency or institution stating that the physician will not receive monetary compensation for any service involving the practice of medicine, said fee shall be waived.
2. If the licensee is converting a full, unrestricted license to a limited license, pursuant to Florida Statutes § 458.317(4), the licensure renewal fee shall be waived.
3. For resident physicians, assistant resident physicians, fellows, and interns licensed pursuant to Sections 458.311, 458.3115, 458.3124, and 458.313, F.S., in an approved postgraduate training program, the biennal renewal fee shall be $200.00, pursuant to Florida Statutes § 458.319(1)
4. If the licensee whose license is on inactive status chooses to renew the license in an inactive status, the biennial renewal fee shall be $121.00.
(b) Resident physicians, assistant resident physicians, interns, and fellows in fellowship training registered pursuant to Florida Statutes § 458.345, shall be exempt from the biennial renewal fee, pursuant to Florida Statutes § 458.345(4)
(c) Biennial renewal fee for a person registered as a house physician pursuant to Florida Statutes § 458.345, shall be $200.00.
(3) A one-time reduction in renewal fees until February 1, 2027, shall be as follows:
(a) The biennial renewal fee for an active license shall be $350.00 for physicians licensed pursuant to Sections 458.311 and 458.313, F.S.; physicians holding a limited license, medical faculty certificate, temporary certificate for practice in areas of critical need, temporary certificate for active duty military and veterans practicing in areas of critical need, public psychiatry certificate, and a public health certificate.
(b) The biennial renewal fee for an inactive license shall be $120.00 for physicians licensed pursuant to Sections 458.311 and 458.313, F.S.; physicians holding a limited license, medical faculty certificate, temporary certificate for practice in areas of critical need, public psychiatry certificate, and a public health certificate.

(2) The following renewal fees are prescribed by the Board:
