Terms Used In 19 Guam Code Ann. § 9114
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
The power of a guardian appointed by a court is suspended only: (a) By order of the court; or
(b) If the appointment was made solely because of the ward’s
minority, by his attaining majority; or
(b) If the appointment was made solely because of the ward’s
minority, by his attaining majority; or
(c) The guardianship over the person of the ward, by the marriage of the ward.
