Terms Used In 22 Guam Code Ann. § 1307

  • Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
  • Liabilities: The aggregate of all debts and other legal obligations of a particular person or legal entity.
  • Public law: A public bill or joint resolution that has passed both chambers and been enacted into law. Public laws have general applicability nationwide.
(a) On the effective date of this Act, all working capital, accounts payable and receivable, and all books, records, applications, assets, liabilities, agreements, privileges and employees of the Agency for Human Resources Development presently existing pursuant to Public Law 17-81 shall be transferred to the Guam Department of Labor, Division of Workforce Development and Training established under this Article. The Guam Department of Labor will honor any existing Memoranda of Understanding or the similar agreements entered into with the Agency for Human Resource Development prior to the enactment of this Act.

(b) Any person accepting employment under this Section, excluding the Director, Deputy Director and Private Secretary, will receive not less than the rate of compensation he was receiving immediately before the transfer date.

(c) This Act shall become effective upon enactment.
