A petition may be filed by:
a. Either parent when termination is sought with respect to the other parent.
Terms Used In Idaho Code 16-2004
- Authorized agency: means the department, a local agency, a person, an organization, corporation, benevolent society or association licensed or approved by the department or the court to receive children for control, care, maintenance or placement. See Idaho Code 16-2002
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
- Parent: means :

b. The guardian of the person or the legal custodian of the child or person standing in loco parentis to the child.
c. An authorized agency.
d. Any other person possessing a legitimate interest in the matter.
