Terms Used In Idaho Code > Title 16 > Chapter 20 - Termination of Parent and Child Relationship
- Abandoned: means the parent has willfully failed to maintain a normal parental relationship including, but not limited to, reasonable support or regular personal contact. See Idaho Code 16-2002
- Abused: means conduct as defined in section 16-1602(1), Idaho Code. See Idaho Code 16-2002
- Acquired entity: means the entity, all of one (1) or more classes or series of interests that are acquired in an interest exchange. See Idaho Code 30-22-102
- Acquiring entity: means the entity that acquires all of one (1) or more classes or series of interests of the acquired entity in an interest exchange. See Idaho Code 30-22-102
- Adaptive equipment: means any piece of equipment or any item that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the parenting abilities of a parent with a disability. See Idaho Code 16-2002
- Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
- Appraisal: A determination of property value.
- Approve: means , in the case of an entity, for its governors and interest holders to take whatever steps are necessary under the entity's organic rules, organic law, and other law to:
Idaho Code 30-22-102Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account. Attachment: A procedure by which a person's property is seized to pay judgments levied by the court. Authorized agency: means the department, a local agency, a person, an organization, corporation, benevolent society or association licensed or approved by the department or the court to receive children for control, care, maintenance or placement.
