Indiana Code 20-23-15-2. “School corporation”

Sec. 2. As used in this chapter, “school corporation” means a school corporation that:
(A) more than three hundred fifty thousand (350,000) and less than four hundred thousand (400,000); or
(1) is located in a county having a population of:

- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- county: means the county in which the school corporation is located. See Indiana Code 20-23-15-1
- Population: has the meaning set forth in Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
(B) more than two hundred fifty thousand (250,000) and less than three hundred thousand (300,000); and
(2) has at least twenty thousand (20,000) students.
