Terms Used In Indiana Code 27-1-43.2-2

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Indemnification: In general, a collateral contract or assurance under which one person agrees to secure another person against either anticipated financial losses or potential adverse legal consequences. Source: FDIC
  • person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, and partnerships; personal pronoun includes all genders; the singular includes the plural and the plural includes the singular. See Indiana Code 27-1-2-3
   Sec. 2. As used in this chapter, “holder” means a person who is entitled to services or indemnification under a service contract.
