Sec. 8. An accident and sickness insurance policy or HMO contract that provides coverage for emergency medical services must also provide reimbursement for the following:
(2) Specialty care transport provided by an emergency medical services provider organization.
(1) Emergency ambulance services provided by an emergency medical services provider organization.

- accident and sickness insurance policy: means an insurance policy that:

- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- emergency medical services: has the meaning set forth in IC 16-18-2-110. See Indiana Code 27-8-38-4
- emergency medical services provider organization: means a provider of emergency medical services that is certified by the Indiana emergency medical services commission under the rules adopted under IC 16-31-3 to provide advanced life support. See Indiana Code 27-8-38-5
