Terms Used In Indiana Code 28-12-3-4

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
   Sec. 4. Any corporation may, with the prior approval of the department, change its corporate name at any time by amending its articles of incorporation under IC 28-13-14.
