Sec. 20. In making investigations concerning the compliance of a licensee the department may:
(2) subpoena witnesses; and
(1) administer oaths;
Terms Used In Indiana Code 28-8-5-20
- department: means the members of the department of financial institutions. See Indiana Code 28-8-5-4
- licensee: means a licensed casher of checks. See Indiana Code 28-8-5-7
- location: means a fixed or ambulatory place of business approved by the department. See Indiana Code 28-8-5-8
- Subpoena: A command to a witness to appear and give testimony.
(3) require the production of:
(A) books, documents, or other tangible items; and
(B) information pertaining to the identity of and location of persons having knowledge of facts concerning compliance with this chapter.
