- Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
Sec. 3. As used in this chapter, “master settlement agreement” has the meaning set forth in IC 24-3-3-6.
