Indiana Code 4-3-26-2. “Executive state agency”

Sec. 2. (a) As used in this chapter, “executive state agency” refers to any agency, authority, board, bureau, commission, department, division, office, or other unit of state government in the executive, including the administrative, department of state government established by any of the following:
(2) An Indiana statute.
(1) The Constitution of the State of Indiana.

- political subdivision: has the meaning set forth in IC 36-1-2-13. See Indiana Code 4-3-26-6
- Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
(3) An administrative rule.
(4) An executive order.
(b) The term does not include the following:
(1) The legislative department of state government.
(2) The judicial department of state government.
(3) The Indiana finance authority established by IC 5-1.2-3-1.
(4) A political subdivision.
(5) A state educational institution.
