- applicant: means either:
Indiana Code 12-17-12-1
- contribution: includes providing a facility, personnel, transportation, or supplies that will be used in operating a program. See Indiana Code 12-17-12-2
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- facility: means a school or other building in which a school age child care program is operated. See Indiana Code 12-17-12-3
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- fund: refers to the school age child care project fund established by this chapter. See Indiana Code 12-17-12-4
- school age child care program: means a program operated by a school corporation or a nonprofit organization that offers care to children who are at least five (5) years of age but less than fifteen (15) years of age for the following periods of time:

- Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
