- accident and sickness insurance policy: means an insurance policy that provides one (1) or more of the types of insurance described in IC 27-1-5-1, classes 1(b) and 2(a). See Indiana Code 27-8-14.2-1
- Autism: means a neurological condition as described in the most recent edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders of the American Psychiatric Association. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
- autism spectrum disorder: means a neurological condition, including Asperger's syndrome and autism, as defined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. See Indiana Code 27-8-14.2-3
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- insured: means an individual who is entitled to coverage under a policy of accident and sickness insurance. See Indiana Code 27-8-14.2-2
