Terms Used In Indiana Code > Title 27 > Article 8 > Chapter 5.5 - Accident and Sickness Insurance?Claim Forms

  • Accident and sickness insurance: means any policy or contract of insurance described in classes 1(b), 2(a), 2(b), or 2(l), as defined in IC 27-1-5-1. See Indiana Code 27-8-5.5-1
  • Commissioner: means the insurance commissioner of Indiana. See Indiana Code 27-8-5.5-1
  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
