- affiliate: has the meaning set forth in IC 23-1-43-1. See Indiana Code 36-8-16.7-1
- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Attorney: includes a counselor or other person authorized to appear and represent a party in an action or special proceeding. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5

- eligible telecommunications carrier: refers to a provider that is designated by the Indiana utility regulatory commission as an eligible telecommunications carrier for purposes of receiving Lifeline reimbursement from the universal service fund through the administrator designated by the Federal Communications Commission. - exchange access facility: means the access from a particular service user's premises to a telephone system. See Indiana Code 36-8-16.7-10
- executive director: refers to the executive director of the board. See Indiana Code 36-8-16.7-11
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
