  • agency: whenever used in this chapter , means and includes any board, bureau, commission, department, agency, or instrumentality of the state of Indiana; provided, however, this chapter shall not be construed to apply where:

  • Attorney: includes a counselor or other person authorized to appear and represent a party in an action or special proceeding. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
  • competent attorney: as used in this chapter , means a citizen of this state who has been duly licensed to practice law in this state. See Indiana Code 4-6-5-6
  • Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • end consumer: means a person who is the last person to purchase any food product and who does not resell the food product. See Indiana Code 16-42-5.3-1
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • food handling machinery: means any of the following used for and in food handling:

  • in writing: include printing, lithographing, or other mode of representing words and letters. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
  • Oath: A promise to tell the truth.
