As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:
1. “Approved course” means a course covering the testing and repair of backflow prevention assemblies which has been approved by the department.
Terms Used In Iowa Code 135K.1
- Approved course: means a course covering the testing and repair of backflow prevention assemblies which has been approved by the department. See Iowa Code 135K.1
- Backflow prevention assembly: means a device or means to prevent backflow into the potable water system. See Iowa Code 135K.1
- Department: means the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing. See Iowa Code 154A.1
- Department: means the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing. See Iowa Code 135K.1
- Person: means a natural person. See Iowa Code 154A.1
2. “Backflow prevention assembly” means a device or means to prevent backflow into the potable water system.
3. “Department” means the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing.
4. “Registered backflow prevention assembly tester” means a person who has successfully completed an approved course and has registered with the department.
