Terms Used In Iowa Code 455B.397
- Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
- Liabilities: The aggregate of all debts and other legal obligations of a particular person or legal entity.
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" may include the said district and territories. See Iowa Code 4.1
Immediately upon the incurrence of any liability to the state under this part, the debtor shall submit to the director a report consisting of documentation of the debtor’s liabilities and assets, including if filed, a copy of the biennial report submitted to the secretary of state pursuant to section 490.1621. A subsequent report pursuant to this section shall be submitted annually on April 15 for the life of the debt. These reports shall be kept confidential and shall not be available to the public.
