- Continuance: Putting off of a hearing ot trial until a later time.
- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
677.14 No cause for continuance.
The making of any offer pursuant to the provisions of this chapter shall not be cause for a continuance of the action or a postponement of the trial.
