1. Upon the receipt of information by the workers’ compensation commissioner of any employer failing to comply with section 87.14A, the commissioner shall at once notify such employer by certified mail that unless such employer complies with the requirements of law, legal proceedings will be instituted to enforce compliance.

  • Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
 2. Unless such employer complies with the provisions of the law within fifteen days after the giving of notice under subsection 1, the workers’ compensation commissioner shall report the failure to the attorney general, whose duty it shall be to bring an action in a court of equity to enjoin the further violation. Upon decree being entered for a temporary or permanent injunction, a violation shall be a contempt of court and punished as provided for contempt of court in other cases.
