Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 13-1374
- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
- parking stations: includes parking lots, passageways, arcades, and facilities for ingress and egress to parking facilities. See Kansas Statutes 13-1374
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
As used in this act and the act of which this act is amendatory, the terms “public parking stations” and “parking stations” includes parking lots, passageways, arcades, and facilities for ingress and egress to parking facilities. Any city of the first class in the state of Kansas may, in the discretion of its governing body, acquire by purchase, gift or condemnation, lands for public parking stations in or near commercial or industrial districts in such city. In acquiring said lands for public parking stations by condemnation, the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 26-501 to 26-516, inclusive, shall, insofar as applicable, apply to and be followed in such condemnation proceedings.
